As part of the Maths Department’s support to GCSE students, we recently welcomed Mrs Parsons, Mrs Collier and Mrs Brookes from the Belvidere School to help deliver a Maths Challenge Day.
Thirty eight year 11 students took part in a full day of challenging activities which included topics as diverse as treasure hunts and speed dating, all designed to use and enhance mathematical skills.
Students gained great confidence in their mathematical abilities enjoying a day packed with fun events. Two further Maths Challenge days, in support of forthcoming GCSE exams are planned.
The support from Belvidere School is greatly appreciated and further demonstrates successful collaborative working between Shropshire Secondary Schools.
