Sir John Talbot’s Technology College was established in 1550 by the Rector of Whitchurch. The school serves the town of Whitchurch and the surrounding district.  The present school structure dates from the amalgamation of Whitchurch Secondary School and Sir John Talbot's Grammar School as a Comprehensive School in 1978.It is located on the southern edge of the town in a range of new and refurbished buildings, including a sports centre.  It is a spacious, wooded and most attractive setting

The ethos of the school is firmly based on the principle that colleagues and students work best when they feel secure and when the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.  The overriding aim is to create a positive learning environment through the active co-operation of staff, parents and students.
We have always worked closely with the community and local employers to enhance learning opportunities for students.  We have now achieved extended school status, working in partnership with Whitchurch Junior and Infant schools and other outside agencies.
